This piece was evolved by watching the daily drama unfolding in our habitat garden. Watching the birds interact is endlessly entertaining—they coexist peacefully for most of the year, but when breeding season arrives, it's game on as they fiercely defend their space.

I love every bird that chooses to visit our garden, and they continually inspire my work. Their personalities, energy, and interactions bring each piece to life.

This artwork also reflects my ongoing exploration of layered techniques, combining collage and paper cutting to create depth and texture. The use of pen and metallic acrylics gives a lovely contrast inviting the viewer to look a little closer and discover something new. It has a sense of fun about it and sometimes that is all it takes for me to get creative.
